No, not anytime soon though. If you think the world economy is bad, it's not, nor is the economy in the United States. Sure, even though the real numbers as this zine is written in late 2011 are bad, in the US 20% + unemployment (less than 10% nationally is an outright lie), plus another 25% + of the population underemployed (meaning they don't make enough money to pay their basic costs of living every month), it's no where near rock bottom, because if it was we'd have riots in the streets, not just "protests" (i.e. see other countries throughout the world). The economy will more than likely even out, steady itself, and probably grow at a rate that will make it seem things will be ok, possibly even greatness right around the corner, especially over the next couple of years
Don't count on it to last. Why? There are more than a few reasons that most folks know about, lack of emerging technologies to provide sufficient jobs, the dismal state of education (esp. in the USA), destruction of the environment....blah, blah, blah, we could go all night. In this zine however we'll latch onto the things everyone is scared to really talk about, but sooner than later we'll have to deal with; what I refer to as GCI - Greed, Corruption and Incompetence. Yes it is apparent many times when you look at large corporations, especially those who thrive on using our natural resources as if they owned them (energy companies come to mind) when in fact these resources belong to all of us who are citizens of any particular nation. Therefore you must look deeper, to whom ultimately allows such to happen, and in most cases profits from such GCI.
Yup, we're talking about the biggest threat to free people the world wide; GCI of our governments. Especially when you get down to what are called Rackets By Law (RBL). They are rampant, they affect us all, and are not openly discussed because, well, the powers that be like it that way. We're about one generation away from this merry-go-round crashing to the ground, so the time is right. Let's start dealing with reality, before reality deals with us, in a very bad way.

US Code for Rackets is very broad, and it was created to be that way. it was put in place to fight different types of crime. While it has been highly successful, it also has been highly abused, especially when applied to small business or even smaller persons whom are accused of running a racket because someone somewhere with influence or the ability to bring such charges simply does not like them. See, it is easy to apply RICO statutes to most persons and individuals; read it for yourself. It also, if you will read, applies in someways to the majority of government activities. Think about it, read the law, it is spot on in some cases.......... A simpler way to desribe a racket would be when you are forced to contribute, support, or pay into any organization because it says it is required, that you get or will receive certain goods, services, or protection by paying into and to the organization; and should you not pay into, or refuse, or seek to subvert or cancel the organization's required pay into, you shall be prosecuted, imprisoned, disabled, destroyed or killed. Yup, that is a real racket, force by the gun, fear, correctly implied, by those with power to enforce such acts within a type of system which relies upon such acts to survive, propser, and or function. Of course RICO goes way beyond this simple definition in scope and range; yet with this simple, more real and more direct definition, you can see the base of a real racket, which is something that requires of you, no if and buts about it. Such a simple definition leaves out petty crime and low grade criminals, the simplier definition requires the racketeer to be of some kind real or imagined power, not just a simple thug or robber. It gets both the mafia (organized crime - la cosa nostra) and rackets protected by law (their thing - le loro cose), which provides "them" power, finance and profit you must pay "into" and provide not by choice, but because it is law, even if "their thing" does not work, nor is capable of providing what it proclaims, and perpetuates the need for "their thing" to exist because of the services or "protection" it supposidly provides. Sound familiar?
